"w98podfetch online" will allow the Perl script to download a preset configuration on-the-fly so users can share their podcast lists with one another. All you need to do is register for free and create a list. Part of the list creation process is where you choose a list name and whether you want your list to be public or private. If you make a public list of, say, your favorite technology news podcasts, and want your friends to access the same list, you could assign a name like "technews", and then your friends can run w98podfetch with that list name as a parameter and they will download the same podcasts as you! Why should I register here?
Registration is required if you want to use w98podfetch to download on-the-fly configuration files. If you are not a registered user, you can search for shared *public* podcasts but the script will not run because the online service will not be able to instruct the software where to store your podcast downloads, etc. Can I use the same login details here that I use at iandouglas.com?
